What's New @ Peoplelogic
What's New @ Peoplelogic
The headline change is customizable workspace menu labels — you can now rename things like Objectives to SMART Goals, Rocks, or whatever language your team already uses, without going through support. Review cycles get a boost with spreadsheet import for participants, per-group required questions, and automatic manager notifications when direct reports submit self-evaluations. Objectives pick up a proper Complete status that tracks 100%-progress items automatically.
On the quality-of-life side, Reviews and Surveys now paginate, Feedback analytics show totals by default, and reviewers get a clear error listing any mandatory questions they've missed before submitting. Rounding it out: safer feedback sending (Ask/Give only enable when a manager is actually selected), a repositioned Clear All filter in the People Directory, and a fix so long tag names no longer hide the action menu in Reviews.
🆕 New Features
Customizable workspace menu names
Menu labels in workspace settings are now fully customizable from the new Menu Labels tab in Workspace Settings — changes appear in the left-side menu and as the page title.
Rename Objectives to SMART Goals, Rocks, or whatever your team already calls them, all on your own and without needing to contact support.
"Complete" status for objectives
Objectives now have a dedicated Complete status, shown in objective lists and status filters. Objectives automatically move to Complete when they hit 100% progress, and filters have been extended to include both Complete and 100%-progress objectives.
Required questions by group
Admins can now mark review questions as required for specific employee groups and optional for others. The group selector sits next to the Required question toggle — flip it on and pick which group(s) must answer. Questions can't be marked required for groups excluded from seeing them.
Import review participants from a spreadsheet
On the new Participants page under Review Cycles, pick Import from file to upload a participant and reviewer list. A counter shows how many participants are in the selected file, the import box remembers your last upload, and a tooltip links to a sample file with the required format.
Manager notifications on self-evaluation submission
Managers now get an automatic Waypoint notification when a direct report submits a self-evaluation. The message includes the report's name and a direct link to Direct Report Reviews, so managers can jump straight into their manager evaluation.
✨ Improved
Feedback analytics shows totals by default
The Feedback analytics tab now displays totals for feedback given, received, requested, and unanswered out of the box — no timeframe selection required.
Pagination on Reviews and Surveys
Reviews and Surveys now support pagination with a per-page selector (20, 50, or 100 entries) for faster load times and easier navigation through large lists.
Clearer filter controls in the People Directory
The Clear All button on the People Directory filter has been moved to the right of the filter for better clarity and easier access.
Better guidance on incomplete review submissions
Submitting a review with missing mandatory answers now surfaces an error message that lists every required question still outstanding, so reviewers know exactly what to complete before submitting.
Safer feedback sending
The Ask and Give buttons in feedback modals are now only enabled when the Send feedback to manager toggle is active and a manager is selected.
🛠 Fixed
Tag action menu accessible with long tag names
Long tag names in the Reviews → Manage tab no longer obscure the 3-dot action menu — it stays reachable regardless of tag length.
This release introduces stronger security for Pylon Chat, more flexible OKR permission controls, and usability improvements designed to make managing objectives and reviews easier than ever.
OKR Permission Controls
We’ve refined permission controls for Objectives and Key Results (OKRs) to provide clearer ownership and better governance.
HR Admins, HR Managers, and Admins retain full edit access to objectives.
Standard users can edit objectives only if they are the Objective Owner, the owner’s manager, or an MKR Owner.
Other users can no longer modify OKRs unless explicitly assigned one of these roles.
These changes help maintain accountability while preventing unintended edits.
Reorder OKRs
You can now reorder OKRs within the “All Objectives” and “My MKRs” tabs.
Reorder OKRs within their respective user or team groups.
Reorder entire user or team groups on the page.
This provides greater flexibility in how objectives are organized and viewed.
Exclusion Filter Added to Reviewers Column
We’ve added an exclusion filter to the Reviewers column on the participants page. This allows you to easily exclude specific reviewers—such as top managers—from review assignments. The filter uses the same interface component as the recipient exclusion tool, ensuring a consistent and intuitive experience.
Improved Dropdown Box Usability
Dropdown fields now have a minimum width of 400px, with text automatically wrapping to maintain readability. Checkboxes are consistently centered within each row, ensuring all options remain fully visible and easier to select.
End-to-End Testing for Salesforce and Jira Integrations
We’ve implemented comprehensive end-to-end testing for our Salesforce and Jira integrations using Playwright. This ensures greater stability and reliability, especially as we continue to ship future updates.
Identity Verification for Pylon Chat
Pylon Chat now includes identity verification, enabling users to securely access their chat history through the chat widget. This enhancement strengthens data protection and ensures conversations remain accessible only to the right users.
Bug Fixes
Personio HRIS Integration Synchronization Resolved an issue where newly added employees and job title changes were not syncing properly when using the Personio integration. Employee additions and title updates now sync correctly, while inactive users continue to be removed as expected.
This release improves the Salesforce integration experience with faster, clearer status updates, better query validation, and richer objective feed activity details for MKR changes. We also added new admin and workflow tools—like a one-click reminder email for pending feedback requests, expanded objective deletion permissions, and the ability to copy entire objective cycles—along with reporting improvements to radar charts and several stability and UI fixes across objectives, surveys, and modals.
Salesforce Integration Improvements
The integration card now auto-refreshes immediately after a successful Salesforce connection, ensuring updated status without needing a page reload.
Workspace settings include a query validation feature with a new "Test Connection" button, providing immediate feedback on query validity.
When adding an MKR to a new objective, the external provider button and Salesforce icon display correctly.
The objective feed now details MKR updates, showing who made the change and when, while automated updates display "ExternalProvider" as the source.
Resolved overlapping of icons and user avatars when viewing MKRs in "My Objectives", "All Objectives", and "My MKRs" tabs.
Visual indicators have been added for invalid queries and for disconnected syncs on MKRs.
Fixed errors for standard users opening objectives and ensured context panel logos display correctly. Objective status and icons now update properly if the sync toggle is deactivated or the integration is disconnected, even without refreshing the page.
Copy Entire Objective Cycle
Added the ability to copy an entire objective cycle from the Objective cycles tab within workspace settings. The "Copy" option is accessible via the three-dot menu on each objective cycle card. Upon selecting "Copy," users can choose between two options: Keep Data (retains objective owners, MKR owners, tasks, comments, notes, and all details) or Clear Data (retains only the owners, erases other data such as tasks and comments). The new objectives will automatically update to correspond to the current cycle.
Radar Chart Weighted Values and Average Display
Resolved an issue where scored attribute values on the radar chart did not reflect question weights, and added the overall average value to the chart legend.
Add option to set "Send Feedback to Manager" Default
Administrators can now choose whether or not the feedback toggle is set to send to the employee’s manager. The default remains off, but allows for more flexibility for organizations. Contact support for help on changing the default!
Reminder Email Button Added to Pending Requests
A new button has been added to each feedback request card in the "Pending Requests" tab, allowing users to resend the original feedback request email notification.
Prevent Duplicate Survey Starts
Resolved an issue where clicking "Start now" multiple times in quick succession would launch the survey more than once. The "Start now" button now immediately disappears after the first click, preventing duplicate survey sessions and ensuring only a single survey round launches per user action.
Expanded Objective Deletion Permissions
Admins and HR Admins can now delete objectives they have permission to view, including objectives they did not create. The “Delete Objective” action is available when the user meets at least one of the following conditions: the objective is public, the user is the objective owner, the user is a contributor, or the user is an MKR owner. The delete option is hidden for Standard and HR Manager access level users.
🪲 Bug Fixes
Fixed template modal crash in 1:1 meetings
Clicking a template multiple times in the 1:1 meeting modal no longer causes the page to crash.
Modal Close Button Functionality Restored
Resolved an issue where clicking the “X” close button in modals did not close the modal but instead scrolled to the bottom.
Accurate Last Login Date in People Directory
Memory Leak Fix in Static Archive Data and Ktor Client
This release delivers meaningful improvements across feedback, goals, and platform stability. Managers can now proactively request peer feedback to support development conversations, while new Salesforce integration enables measurable key results to update automatically from real-time data. We’ve also addressed key usability issues in reviews, refreshed branding, and strengthened system reliability to ensure a smoother, more resilient experience overall. Let’s dive in!
🚀 Automatically Updated MKRs from External Tools
Salesforce Now Available — More Integrations Coming
You can now connect Salesforce as a data source for measurable key results (MKRs), allowing objectives to update automatically based on real performance data. Workspace Admins can easily connect Salesforce from the Integrations area and link MKRs directly to the metrics that matter most. Linked MKRs are clearly marked and update automatically, helping teams stay aligned without manual tracking. This is the first of several planned integrations, with additional sources like Jira coming soon to further streamline goal tracking across the tools your teams already use.
✍️ More Supportive, Coaching-Led Feedback
Managers Can Proactively Gather Developmental Input
Managers can now request feedback from peers to support ongoing coaching and growth conversations with their direct reports. With a new “Request Feedback” option available on the Feedback page and within employee profiles, it’s easier to gather timely, well-rounded perspectives. Requested feedback is shared through notifications and organized into clear cards, helping managers identify strengths, spot development opportunities, and coach more effectively with context and confidence.
🪲 Bug Fixes & Smaller Improvements
Resolved Issue Editing Questions in Review Builder
Users can now successfully edit question descriptions and options in the review building process.
Resolved error when opening closed reviews as manager
Resolved an issue where managers opening finished reviews in which they were also reviewers would see an error message and be able to access the calibration panel; the calibration button is now hidden for closed or finished reviews.
Updated Login Page Branding
Removed the text '(Formerly Plai)' from the login page for a streamlined and updated branding experience.
Improved DNS Handling for JVM
Configured the JVM to use time-to-live (TTL) settings for DNS name lookups, ensuring that DNS changes are detected more quickly. This enhances stability and reduces the risk of downtime due to stale DNS entries.
For those of us here in the US, today is all about giving thanks and then overeating :) Fortunately, we’ve been hard at work to get a new release out the door with some much requested new features across nearly all of the core modules. Let’s take a look! 🙌
'Complete' Status Added to Objectives Filter
The objectives filter now includes a new "Complete" status option, allowing users to easily view only completed objectives. This option appears in the "My Objectives," "All Objectives," and "My Key Results" tabs. The filter offers six options: All Statuses, Complete, On track, At risk, Behind, and Postponed. Selecting "Complete" will display only objectives that have been marked as completed.
Preview and Export Review Questions
The review building process now includes a Preview feature on the "Questions" page, allowing users to see their review questions in the final format before saving and moving to the next step. The preview replicates the user review response layout, displays all questions (regardless of targeted participants), and shows additional details on linear questions, such as score and weight. An "Export Review" option is also available within the preview, letting users export review questions in PDF, CSV, or Excel formats via a simple pop-up or drop-down menu.
✍️ Improved Feedback Functionality
Display All Direct Report Feedback with OldStyleFeedback Enabled
All feedback received by direct reports can now be visible on the direct report's tab when the oldStyleFeedback preference is active in the workspace. This feature is only available upon request from customers.
Improved Feedback Card Messaging for Manager-Sent Feedback
Feedback cards now display Feedback sent to manager for feedback that has been shared with a manager and received by the profile owner, replacing the previous 'Content is private' message. This provides clearer context regarding the feedback's visibility and purpose.
New Feedback Templates Added
New feedback templates are now available for use, expanding the selection of templates that can be submitted when providing feedback. These are some welcome updates. Thank you to Multiplayer Studios for contributing these!
Share Feedback with Direct Reports
Managers can now share specific feedback received for their direct reports using a new toggle in the feedback modal. When activated, this option sends a notification to the direct report with the shared feedback using the standard feedback notification.
🪲 Bug Fixes
PDF Export Reviewer Name Overlap Fixed
Resolved an issue where response text could overlap the reviewer’s name on page breaks in PDF exports.
Tooltip Display on Selected Parent Objective Restored
Resolved an issue where tooltips did not appear when hovering over a selected parent objective in the selector box.
Rich Text Formatting in Excel Export
Resolved an issue where rich text formatting code appeared in Excel exports of question descriptions; exports now display only plain text.
The Impact Summer release is here! If it’s been a little quiet on the release front it’s because we’ve been focused listening to you, our customers and driving improvements to how you management continuous performance management. Enjoy a smoother, more efficient workflow with these enhancements!
Improved Review Recipient Selection Interface
The review participant selection page for review admins is now redesigned to match the survey participant selection interface, ensuring a consistent user experience. Enhanced filtering options are introduced, including Teams, Users, Locations, Tenure, and Custom Tags, similar to the survey section. Exclusion criteria are now available, allowing filtering by exclusion parameters akin to the inclusion options for surveys.
The interface supports multi-reviewer selection with familiar bulk action controls and an integrated search function within the participant list for easier navigation. By default, the review recipients will be set to "Specific teams, users, or locations," distinguishing it from the survey flow while still allowing admins to select all employees if needed.
Flexible Survey Close Timing
Users can now customize the number of days a survey remains open post-launch, enhancing flexibility beyond the existing predetermined options. A simplified list of predefined days has been introduced, along with the capability to enter a custom number of days directly. This customization does not affect current or scheduled surveys, which will maintain their previously selected closing times.
Improved Custom Tags Management
Introduced a new feature that allows users to select from an existing list of tags when adding custom tags to employee details, reducing errors caused by typos and eliminating the need to repeatedly create the same tags manually. This functionality mirrors the tag selection process utilized in review sections, ensuring consistency and efficiency for users managing employee information.
Improved Sorting and Filtering for 1:1 Action Items
The 1:1s tab now features enhanced sorting and filtering capabilities for action items. Users can filter action items by status (All Status, Open, Closed, and Overdue) and sort them by parameters such as Event, Status, Participant, and Due Date. Action items are now sorted with events having defined due dates appearing first when sorting by "Due date," followed by those without. This update ensures a more organized and accessible view of tasks, helping users prioritize and manage their due and overdue items effectively.
Enhanced Review Organization in "My Reviews" Tab
Finished reviews in the "My Reviews" tab are now organized by the cycle deadline instead of the logged-in user's submission date. Previously, reviews lacking a defined self-evaluation date were grouped under "Null" and placed at the bottom of the list, creating organizational issues. This update ensures a more intuitive arrangement, prioritizing cycle deadlines for streamlined access and review management.
Enhanced People Directory Filters
The People Directory now includes enhanced filtering capabilities, allowing users to not only sort by team or manager but also by custom tags and location. Existing manager and status filters have been consolidated into this new filter framework. Additionally, a clear button has been added for users to easily reset all applied filters.
Enhanced PDF Export for Likert Scale Responses
When exporting review results to PDF, both the numeric Likert scale values and their corresponding descriptive text are now displayed. For example, if a response is recorded as "5. Totally agree," both the value "5" and the text "Totally agree" will appear in the export. This enhancement provides clearer insights into the responses, with percentages reflecting the number of employees giving each answer.
Improved Survey Analytics Heat Map Export
The export functionality for survey analytics heat maps now includes the overall average score. Previously, when downloading the heat map as a .csv file, the average value did not display alongside filters such as teams, managers, or other categories. This enhancement allows users to better analyze survey data with a comprehensive view of scores across various segments.
🛟 Smaller Enhancements
Improved Tenure Filter Functionality - The Tenure filter now applies immediately when selected, enhancing user experience by reflecting changes in the survey or review list without needing to select additional filters. For example, setting a minimum tenure of 30 weeks will promptly update the displayed list to match this criterion.
Updated Review Copying Functionality - Resolved an issue where copied reviews retained the original timeline settings such as start and end dates, and evaluation deadlines. Now, when copying a review, all timelines are set to default settings for new reviews, ensuring a consistent starting point for all newly copied reviews.
Change in Default Review Submission Behavior - The default behavior has been reverted to the previous behavior and allows users to submit reviews even after the deadline has passed. The toggle remains accessible on the 5.Timeline page, giving users more flexibility in managing their review submissions.
People Tab Added to Team Profiles - The People tab now available on team profiles provides a comprehensive list of all team members, displaying their name, job title, manager(s), and team affiliations.
Reviewer Display Update in Exported Files - Resolved an issue where exported files showed "Anonymous" in the reviewer field when reviews had anonymous visibility settings. The field will now display "Reviewer" in all export formats, including PDF, Excel, and CSV. Additionally, this update is applied to the progress page within reviews.
Correct Deadline Handling for Self-Evaluation Notifications - The handling of deadlines in self-evaluation reminders and notifications has been updated to correctly use the self-evaluation deadline instead of the reviewer's deadline. This fix ensures that notifications sent to Waypoint accurately reflect the intended deadlines for self-evaluation tasks. This change affects both reminder notifications and the start review notification processes.
Context Panel Tab Visibility - Resolved an issue where context panels in 1:1s and Reviews showed tabs for features that were disabled in workspace settings. Now, when a feature is disabled, its corresponding tab will automatically be hidden in the context panel, ensuring a more streamlined and relevant user interface.

This new feature makes creating meaningful surveys faster and more intuitive, helping you gather the insights you need with minimal effort.
🧠 Increased Answer Options for Surveys & Reviews
We’ve expanded the answer options for survey and review questions! Customers can now add more than the previous limit of 9 answers per question—up to 15+ answers. This enhancement allows for greater customization and flexibility in your review and survey cycles, giving you more options to recreate existing processes and receive insights from your team.
🌾 Employee ID Field Addition (in Review Results Export too) 📊
This new field, located under the location field and next to the time zone (see image above), allows you to add the employee ID manually or from other HRIS tools directly in Peoplelogic. Additionally, the Employee ID will now appear in the first column of the downloaded employee list, making it easier to align employee data between systems and enhance your record-keeping accuracy.
We’ve added a "Recipient Employee ID" column to the Review Results CSV export! This new column appears at the beginning of the export, right before the recipient name, making it easier to associate review results with your existing employee data during external analysis. This enhancement helps streamline data integration and ensures greater accuracy when analyzing review outcomes alongside other employee records.
🏷️ Using Custom Tags to Filters for Survey Results and Review Analytics
We’ve added Custom Tags to enhance your filtering options for Survey Results and Review Analytics! In the Survey Progress/Results filters, you can now select from a list of custom tags specific to your organization (added to employee details), allowing you to tailor your analysis and easily segment data based on relevant categories. Similarly, in the Review Analytics section, a new Custom Tags field enables you to refine your insights by choosing from available tags. Whether you want to focus on specific teams, projects, or custom criteria, these new filtering capabilities provide more precise and meaningful analysis for your surveys and reviews.
🗓️ Add Due Dates to Tasks in OKRs
You can now assign due dates to individual tasks that contribute to your key results, making it easier for your team to manage timelines and stay on track. This new feature helps ensure that all critical work tied to your objectives is completed on schedule, promoting better organization, accountability, and focus as you work toward achieving your key results.
🗑️ Task Deletion in OKRs
We’ve added the ability to delete tasks under OKRs! Tasks are designed to help teams organize and manage important work that contributes to achieving key results. Now, if a task is no longer relevant or was created by mistake, you can easily remove it to keep your OKRs clean and focused on what truly matters. This feature gives you more control and flexibility in managing your progress toward key outcomes.

WCAG - Sections 1.2.-3.1 (A-AAA)
To meet governmental requirements and allow people with various disabilities to use the platform, it will be necessary to update the platform according to the version of WCAG 2.1. Enhanced accessibility ensures compliance with WCAG guidelines for better user experience.
WCAG - Section 1.4 - Distinguishable: The visual presentation of text and images of text now meets the contrast ratio of at least 4.5:1. Exceptions include large-scale text and images, which have a contrast ratio of at least 3:1, as well as text that is part of an inactive user interface component, pure decoration, or logos. Additionally, text can now be resized up to 200 percent without loss of content or functionality, excluding captions and images of text.
WCAG - Section 2.1 - Keyboard: The platform is now fully keyboard accessible, adhering to WCAG 2.1 guidelines for improved usability and inclusivity. For more information, visit: WCAG 2.1 Keyboard Accessibility.
WCAG - ARIA Label Compliance: This update ensures our platform meets WCAG guidelines by defining accessible names with ARIA labels for screen readers. The enhancements cover various areas including appropriate alternative text for images, descriptive form buttons and input labels, semantic markup for headings and tables, informative headings and labels, proper use of ARIA to enhance accessibility, and ensuring accessible names include visible text. These changes significantly improve the accessibility and usability of our platform for users with disabilities.

The button, replacing the "Referral Program" option, is positioned sixth in the menu. We have some exciting updates for you! 🎉 First, you can now view relevant OKRs in your 1:1 conversations to help steer the conversation to company and team goals. You can also add custom fields to employee profiles, helping you categorize different contract types and improve your data analytics. Plus, there’s a handy new Release Notes widget in the sidebar footer, giving you instant access to the latest updates! 🚀 Dive into the details of all the updates below and let us know what you think!
OKR Statuses in 1:1s Context Panel
A section for relevant Objectives and Key Results (OKRs) has been added in the context panel of 1:1s. Employees' assigned OKRs are now displayed in the context panel when meeting with their manager or an admin. The menu includes tabs similar to reviews, with tabs labeled: OKRs, IDPs, and Suggested Questions. Users have the option to select current or past objective cycles, with the default view set to the current cycle.
Custom Fields for Employee Profiles
Custom fields have been introduced for employee profiles, enabling the differentiation between contract types such as independent contractor, part-time employee, and full-time employee. This enhancement will also allow users to soon filter employee profiles in survey and review analytics dashboard, providing improved categorization and data analysis capabilities.
Release Notes Widget in Sidebar Footer
A new widget displaying release notes has been added next to the "Invite the Team" button in the sidebar footer. This update includes a changelog button with an icon and a release widget, providing users with immediate access to the latest updates and features directly from the sidebar.
Automatically Cancel Reminder Notifications When Event/Item Is Cancelled
Resolved an issue where reminder notifications were still being sent even after the associated 1:1 meeting times were cancelled or deleted. Users will now no longer receive reminder notifications for events or items that have been removed. This includes cancellations made through connected calendar integrations and the Impact systems.
Add "Maximum Weeks Tenure" to Survey Inclusion
The survey inclusion criteria now supports a new "Maximum Weeks Tenure" option, in addition to the existing minimum weeks tenure filter. This enhancement enables surveys to target employees with a specified maximum tenure, useful for focusing on newer hires. To ensure accuracy, users are prevented from proceeding if the minimum and maximum weeks tenure values are identical, prompting an error message: “Minimum tenure weeks can't be higher than maximum tenure weeks.” The new filter is available under the "Participants" section of the survey building page.
Add a method to remove Objective parenthood
A "blank" option has been added to the dropdown list on both the “Parent Objective” list and the “Child Objective” list, allowing users to remove selected parent or child objectives without the need to delete them.
Lock Date/Time for 1:1 Agendas Synced with Calendar Event
Resolved an issue where syncing a 1:1 agenda with a recurring calendar event allowed users to adjust the agenda's date and time, creating duplicate agendas. Now, once an agenda is synced with a recurring meeting event, the date and time are locked to match the calendar event. Changes to the meeting date or time in the calendar will automatically sync to the agenda, ensuring consistency.
Add the toggle for show all child objective details to the All Objectives page
The Objectives menu will now include a "Show/Hide Child" toggle button next to the "Expand/Collapse all" button. With "Show Child" Active, objectives will appear in a hierarchical order, displaying child objectives with an advance regarding their direct parents. When "Show Child" is inactive, only the parent objectives will be visible. The "Expand/Collapse all" button will continue to function as before, showing or hiding the MKRs (Metrics/Key Results) inside objectives, but the text will change to "Show/Hide MKRs."
Improve Welcome Email and Invite Link
Email notifications for inviting new members and the welcome email have been moved to the Waypoint service. All references to "Plai" have been updated to "Peoplelogic Impact", and links have been revised to reflect the current URL: https://peoplelogic.ai/.
